Ref Desk

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”  Albert Camus

After a gorgeous, relaxing, sunny Labor Day weekend, the Woods Ref Desk staff is refreshed and ready, gearing up for fall and all of the great programs we’ll be offering here at the Woods.  The Ref Desk is the place to find out information about these programs; we’d be happy to register you or answer any questions.  Be sure to stop by and pick up a copy of the first ever “Fall Programs for Adults and Teens” brochure.

Talking About Books and the Tudor Dynasty

Tea and crumpets, great books, a dynamic leader – what more could you ask for!  We are so excited about our upcoming book discussion, Time Out for the Tudors, with our own Dr. Mona Garcia.  We’ll begin with Philippa Gregory’s “The Constant Princess” on Wednesday, September 26th at 2:30 in the Platt Walsh Room.  Anyone who’s heard Dr. Garcia speak before knows they are in for a real treat.   To register, call the Ref Desk at 255-7308, or go online at www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org.
